Legal Discalimer Martial Arts
1. Liability Waiver
By signing up for this seminar, you acknowledge that martial arts is physical, and physical things come with risk—bruises, strains, maybe worse if you’re not careful. You accept that risk and waive any claims against the instructors, event organizers, and anyone affiliated with the seminar. You’re here by choice, and you take responsibility for yourself.
2. Medical Conditions
If you’ve got any pre-existing medical conditions or physical limitations, speak up before we get started. We’re not doctors, and we can’t read minds. Let us know so we can keep things safe.
3. Age Restrictions
Participants must be at least 13 years old. If you’re under 18, you’ll need parental consent. The only exception is if we’re running a seminar specifically for younger kids, which will be arranged ahead of time upon request.
4. Insurance
You’re encouraged to get personal accident insurance before attending. The host, instructor, or any third party won’t cover injuries, damages, or liability—period.
5. Refund & Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made at least 2 days before the seminar will get a full refund. After that? No refunds. Life happens, but so does commitment.
6. Video & Photography
No personal photos or videos are allowed during the seminar. At the end, we usually take a group photo—if you’re in, great. If not, no problem.
If you want to take extra pictures or record something, get clearance from the instructor first—not the host, not some random third party. We sometimes have active-duty or former police, military, and other professionals attending, and out of respect for their privacy, we keep things locked down.
7. Legal Jurisdiction & Waiver of Claims
By signing up for this seminar, you are explicitly and irrevocably agreeing that any and all legal matters related to your participation will be governed solely by the laws of Texas, USA. That means:
• You waive any right to bring claims under the laws of any other jurisdiction, including but not limited to Germany or the European Union.
• You waive any right to invoke public policy standards, consumer protection laws, safety regulations, or mandatory provisions from any other legal system—including gross negligence or personal injury protections that might otherwise apply elsewhere.
• You waive any claim against the instructors, organizers, hosts, or affiliated entities for any reason, including but not limited to injury, damages, negligence (gross or otherwise), or liability of any kind.
• You waive any attempt to dispute this agreement based on insurance coverage, legal technicalities, or jurisdictional conflicts.
Put simply: You are voluntarily choosing to attend. You understand martial arts carries risk, and you accept full responsibility for anything that happens—expected or unexpected. You will not, under any circumstances, pursue legal action or compensation. No one is forcing you to come, and if these terms don’t sit right with you, don’t sign up.
We don’t like having to spell it out like this, but we’ve seen how some folks operate—looking for loopholes, twisting things around, making a living off frivolous claims. That won’t fly here.
If you're uncomfortable with these terms, this isn't the seminar for you.
