Crafting Knives That Work
When we’re not out shoeing horses or working the farm, we like to tinker with metal. That often means making knives—because they’re always useful, whether you’re in the field, fishing, or fixing something. We started making them for ourselves, then friends wanted some. Word spread, more folks asked, and before long.

If It Don’t Work in the Real World, It Ain’t Worth Much
We’ve trained in a lot—Muay Thai, BJJ, kickboxing, judo, aikido, karate—but it ain’t about collecting styles. What matters is what holds up when things get real. It’s about pressure-tested techniques, not theory.

Martial Arts Seminars
If It Don’t Work in the Real World, It Ain’t Worth Much
Training has covered a lot of ground over the years—Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing, judo, aikido, karate—but what matters isn’t collecting styles, it’s figuring out what actually holds up when things get real. Some of that testing happened in a dojo, some of it in places where there wasn’t a referee to stop the fight. Experience in the French Foreign Legion reinforced a simple truth: if a technique needs perfect conditions to work, it’s not worth relying on.
That mindset shapes the martial arts seminars at Forge & Farrier. The Forge is where skills, mindset, and techniques are forged through practical experience, blending traditional martial arts with real-world applications. Professor Rick Clark brings decades of knowledge in pressure points and kata applications, while hands-on experience in combat and real-world situations keeps the focus on what actually works. Pressure points alone won’t save you—they’re just poison on the tip of an arrow. The arrow does the real work. If a punch won’t land or a takedown won’t stick, no secret tricks will change that.
Find the purpose behind traditional martial arts movements.
Learn what actually works in a fight, not just in theory.
Train with instructors who’ve spent decades testing these principles.
Whether it’s boxing, BJJ, karate, or just understanding how to handle real-world violence, these seminars strip things down to what works. No fluff, no wasted effort—just real skills, real lessons, and a good time training. And just like forging metal, every training session builds something stronger—mindset, skills, and the confidence to handle whatever comes your way.

Crafting Knives That Work
When we’re not out shoeing horses or working the farm, we like to tinker with metal. Sometimes that means making a knife—because a knife’s always handy, whether you’re out in the field, fishing, or fixing something up. We started making them for ourselves, and soon folks started asking if we’d make one for them, then a few more asked, and well, here we are.
Ain’t nothing fancy—just simple, solid knives made to be used. We don’t rush—just steady hands, raw steel, and the belief that a knife should last and get the job done
Knives you can put to work, not just put on a shelf.
Metal work that’s simple, solid, and made to be used.
No frills, no fancy talk—just good knives made with a steady hand.
If you need something made, let us know—we’ll see what we can do.
Built on Grit
At Forge & Farrier, we don’t chase perfection—we focus on putting in the work, day after day. With over 30 competitions between martial arts, triathlons, and ultra-marathons, we prove that it isn’t about perfection or a finish line; it’s about showing up and doing the best you can, no matter what. Every race, every session, every challenge is just another chance to push a little further, break a few more limits, and keep moving forward.
